DISNEY!!!

WOW, What a great trip. Busy, but fun. Well we are back and here is what our vacation was like:
Saturday (3/3/12) we headed to the airport. We took off out of Akron Canton, so we met my parents there so that they could take our car back to their house. Our flight was on time so that was great. New airport policy- kids 12 and under don't have to take their shoes off. . . great news. That saves us so much time going through security. Flying is such a hassle. It takes so long to board everyone and now a days everyone just brings their carry on suitcase with them it takes forever to stow those and then the kids don't like being so confined, ect. The boys actually did really great on the plane. We had a layover in Atlanta. . . only one hour. . . just enough time to get from one gate to the next. Kinda funny- we saw Todd's cousin at the Atlanta airport waiting on her flight back to Ohio. The flight from Atlanta to Orlando was not much fun. First we had to wait for 30 min while sitting on the plane for them to fix a seatbelt and then replace a sticker on something by the flight attendants station. Finally we take off and it was a rough go. Bad winds, and a very nauseating trip. Luckily, neither Logan or myself got sick. Logan is a little more leery of flights. I think it is his stomach, just like me, but Hudson LOVED it. His favorite part was takeoff. He loved going super fast and then lifting into the air and watching out the window. Finally we get to Orlando and finally eat lunch. It was a very late lunch and we were all starving. We were going to eat in Atl but we didn't have time. Then we headed to the magical express and relaxed on the way to our resort. We checked in and went to check out our room and the resort. Then we headed to Downtown Disney to look around and grab some dinner. It was a madhouse and super crowded. We didn't end up getting back to our hotel until 10ish and the boys were exhausted. Right to bed to get rested up for the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. Sunday- we headed to the magic kingdom. Boys were up at 7 ready to go. We ate a quick breakfast in our room and headed out. As soon as we got on the shuttle to take us there I remembered I forgot our tickets in our room. I was so angry with myself. We had to ride all the way there, get off get on a different shuttle, go back, get the tickets and then head back to the magic kingdom. It took us an extra 90 min to do all of that. So we didn't get there until 11:30. We still had a great day and were able to do so much. Hudson and Logan ( a little) were scared of the Snow White ride. Everyone loved- the Pooh ride, Peter Pan, It's a Small World and the Buzz Lightyear ride. Dumbo was closed because they are redoing Fantasyland and it will open soon. By about 7pm everyone was exhausted so we headed back to our resort for dinner and bed. Monday- Great day weather wise. The best so far. Sunny and almost 80. The only day to get that warm. Most others were cloudy and windy, but still to too cold. The boys were up at 6:30 today and we were heading back to the Magic Kingdom. We got there around 9am today, rerode a few favorites and then headed to the other side of the park that we didn't get to do yesterday. We ran into Todd's first grade teacher and gym teacher (also they were my colleagues when I was working at Chapman) the Weir's and talked with them for a bit. Today we had our Character dining with the Pooh characters. It was great. The food was good, the characters were too. Piglet was adorable and came right up to Campbell as soon as we got there because he was crying because I took that little buzzer thing away from him when they called our table. He was using it like a phone and got mad at me when I took it away. Then later Piglet gave Campbell a kiss and Campbell LOVED it. We were able to see two parades. The regular one and the electrical one at night. That one was great. Campbell danced and waved the whole time. We left at about 8pm this day right before fireworks. It was so crowded it would have been insane trying to get to the shuttle when they were over. Tuesday- Hollywood Studios today. We got to see everything we wanted- The little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Disney Junior, Indiana Jones (everyone loved that one), Muppets 3-d, race car stunt show, we even tried to go to the Honey, I shrunk the Kids playground but that was a mad house and we lost Campbell for about 10 min. We knew he was in there but there was so many people and so many little places we couldn't see kids it was kinda scary. So we got him and left. Logan and Hudson kinda took off without him after we instructed them to stay together and that was the problem. So we didn't really enjoy that exhibit. We had our character dining with the Disney Junior crew and the boys liked that although we liked the Pooh one better. The food was better and they had the air on really cold and we were freezing so it was hard to enjoy a very expensive lunch when you were freezing. The best part was the Toy Story 3-d ride. They boys all loved that. Then Wednesday, we just played at the playground at our resort and tried to swim but it was really cloudy and even though it was heated it was too cold. When the sun peeked out it was ok but Campbell couldn't stop shivering. Logan and Hudson enjoyed the waterslide and then we all enjoyed warming up in the hottub. We had lunch and then changed but when we got out front we had missed our bus back the airport. The magical express only comes every 30 min so we had to wait and wait for the next one. Luckily, we made it on time and everything was fine. It was a much better flight going home and we were actually early arriving. We didn't get back until after 8 and the boys went right to bed. Logan was asleep in the car ride home. He was a trooper. He walked the whole time and never took a nap so I know he was tired. Good to be back home. Lots to put away but it was a fabulous trip. Here are some pics. The rest are on fb. It was easier to put them all on there.
