Paislee- one month old

Today is Paislee's one month birthday.  It is hard to believe that it has just been a month since we headed to the hospital to have her.  Time really does fly by.  Here has been her life for the past month- lots of eating (she really loves boobie milk), pooping and snoozing. She has started big poopies that like to escape her diaper.  Knock on wood. . . she is a pretty good sleeper when we are at home.  At night she has been waking only 1-2 times.  When we are out and about she catnaps more during the day instead of taking nice long naps like she would do if we were at home. She tends to get over tired when she only catnaps, then it seems like it is harder for her to settle down for bedtime.  She is getting better in the car, which is nice.  Oh and the places she went her first month. . . swim lessons everyday, 4th of july fireworks (I sat in the car with her so her big brothers could watch), the dr for her 2 week check up, Canal Days, Strongsville carnival, Target, Kohl's, Marc's, Home Depot, storytime, swimming at Grandma's (well she stayed inside and slept while her brothers swam), kiddie park, she celebrated Mommy's 34th b-day, Cleveland Zoo, Toledo Zoo and got to see lots of friends and relatives.  She likes to snuggle up on my shoulder like a little monkey.  She just kinda hangs on.  Unlike Campbell who liked to be swaddled until he was almost a year, Paislee is already all done being swaddled.  Every once in a while I will get a super sweet smile from her too.  She doesn't do it very often yet, but when I am feeding her and holding her close she gives me a glimpse of all the smiles that are yet to come.  She is about 10lbs on our scale.  She is just starting to get a few rolls and her tummy is definitely much bigger.  Here are a few pictures of her 1 month birthday.

Paislee- 4 weeks old

4 weeks old today.  Time certainly does fly by. Paislee is doing great.  I weighed her at home and on our scale she is already up to 10lbs.  She is still an eating, pooping, sleeping machine.  She is getting better at being out and about, which is good since we are always on the go.   It has been 2 weeks since I have posted last.  Todd has been back to work and has been working late each night completing a side job that him and his dad are working on.  They are building a garage for one of his co-workers.  So he hasn't been getting home until about 10:30 each day.  So it is just the kiddos and I from sun up to sun down.  Logan has been a HUGE help.  We have been staying busy though.  Swim lessons every morning at 9:20, running errands, meeting up with friends, doing some organization and just keeping the house running smoothly.  Last Friday, we took the kids to Strongsville carnival, had dinner there, and then played at the playground.  Logan picked up his football gear for tackle.  He starts practice and conditioning on Monday.  We have had some more visitors to meet Paislee over the last 2 weeks and it was my birthday.  Happy 34th birthday to me!!!!   Todd and the kids got me a new necklace made by my friend with each of their names on it since my last one didn't have Paislee on it.  Here are a bunch of pics from the last 2 weeks.

Paislee is 2 weeks old. . . and kiddie park

Today, Paislee is 2 weeks old.  It seems like she is much older than that.  Time flies when you are changing diapers, nursing, getting puked on, waking in the middle of the night and taking care of 3 big brothers.  Todd goes back to work on Monday.  I know the boys have enjoyed having him at home these past few weeks.  Logan, Hudson and Campbell have been doing well on their "good behavior" chart so as a reward we went to kiddie park on Wednesday evening.  The weather was perfect, not hot, and there were hardly any people there.  We  rode everything but the train and rockets (because we ran out of tickets) but said we would get those next time.  Paislee slept the whole time except at the end when I had to feed her.  Then we left after that.  She doesn't particularly like the car seat so unless she is sleeping she is crying.  So the whole way home she screamed.  Campbell kept trying to make shhhhing noises to calm her down but it wasn't helping.  Lucky for us it only takes about 20 min to get home.  Thursday I took Paislee to the dr for her check up.  We saw Dr Postma this time since I couldn't get in with Dr Golonka.  He books up quick so I already made her 2 and 4 month appts.  I couldn't make her 6 month yet because it will be 2013.  He said she looks great.  She weighed in at 8.6lbs.  So she is definitely up from her birth weight of 7.11lbs. She falls right into line with where her brothers were at 2 weeks.  All were in the 8lb-8.11 range.  I didn't have any questions and so my appt was pretty short.  Today at swim lessons Hudson passed onto level 1.  These next two weeks will be our last session.  So Logan will remain in level 2 to build endurance and Hudson will be in level 1.  Next year Campbell will start lessons in the preschool class.  Way to go.  Here are some pic from kiddie park.
