Logan's 7th Birthday
Logan is officially 7 years old. We celebrated his big day yesterday by having birthday pancakes, having a soccer game, opening our presents (samurai castle, 3 tag books and a mario wallet), then having cake and finally by going to a wedding. It was a super busy day but we all had fun. I take Logan tomorrow for his 7 year old check up. Logan is such a great son. He is funny, smart, sensitive, caring and an overall great little guy to be around. He is doing great in school. He has earned all E's (aka A's) on his report cards. He loves to read. He is great at math whether it is just adding or subtracting or fractions, time, money, story problems. . . He really just excels academically. Socially, he is a great friend. He likes hanging out with everyone, always making new friends. He is starting to become sensitive and nervous when in a new situation and sometimes he gets embarrassed when he is in front of others. He is still playing soccer and will start tackle football in the fall. I think he might also do basketball this winter. He is in cub scouts right now but just not quite sure if it is for us. He will continue taking swim lessons in the summer. Mario is still one of his favorite things and he is really into the wii. We definitely have to limit his time playing. He is still our early bird, waking up between 6-7am, so by bedtime he is ready by around 8:00pm. He is a great big brother and although he gets an attitude and angry eyebrows at times, he is so helpful and always willing to lend a hand. I am so proud of my big boy:)

soccer and birthday parties
Yesterday, we headed to Logan's 2nd soccer game. BRRR!!!! It was freezing out. Logan did a great job playing even though he was so cold. Everyone else tried to stay warm by hanging out in the back of the cars. Thanks to Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Tim, Lindsay, Zack, and Emma for all braving the cold, wet day to support Logan. Then we headed back to the house and Campbell took a quick nap before the party started. We celebrated Logan's 7th and Campbell's 2nd birthdays together again this year. We had a good turnout- Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Tim, Lindsay, Zack, Emma, Melissa, Derek, Grandma Julie, Keli, Lola, Jesse, Gr.Grandma Jean, Gr. Grandpa Milt and then our friends-Dave, Brenda, Ella and Charlotte and Rick, Stacey, Ryan and Claire. We played Mario Bingo, had a cookout (even though it was cold out complete with corn on the cob), opened presents and had cake. I had a few other games planned but some of the kiddos were kinda small to play them so we are saving them for Logan's friend party. Logan received- cash, clothes, games, wii game, mario kinex and remote control car. We just went to Game Stop today with his birthday money and he was able to get 4 games (pre-owned ones, which cost less)- He got tangled, sonic, a kirby game and Madagascar. Campbell received- cash, firetruck, lawn mower, clothes, name stool, Elmo kinex, sprinkler, and a few other toys. Logan wanted a Transformer cake and Campbell had an Elmo cake. What a great day. Logan will have another mini celebration on Saturday for his real birthday. He still has gifts from us to open. Here are some pics.
