Christmas Day 2012

What a great Christmas.  Santa was especially generous this year.  Lots and Lots of presents.  We started off on Christmas eve by having an early dinner. . . steak on the grill then cleaned up and headed to church at 6:00. The kids did great.  Hudson was coming down with a bug and he actually fell asleep during mass and slept the entire time.  Only later did the croupy cough surface.  Then we came home and opened Logan's santa shop presents to us(todd got pennants and I got a ring, )  He was so excited to play santa and give us presents. Then they opened one from mom and dad.  Christmas morning the kids were up EXTRA early. . . 3:30AM. . . we made them go back to bed only to find that only Campbell fell back to sleep.  Logan and Hudson went back downstairs and were still awake at 4:30. . . I went back down and yelled at them to go to bed.  This time they did fall back to sleep until about 7.  Then we opened presents, had french toast for breakfast and then opened some more.  Our living room was a mess.  Presents were everywhere.  Logan and Hudson got yfliker scooters, Campbell got a cozy truck, Paislee got a few outfits and some toys.  This was the year of the nerf guns.  We have always been against guns in the past.  We made it very clear to the kids that these are just toys and how we don't play with real guns b/c they can kill you and real guns are not toys.  They are a lot of fun to play with.  Mommy and Daddy even got in on the action.  The boys also got a bow and arrow set.  Not with real arrows but they sure do fly.  Todd shot one from the street over the house, past the pine trees in the backyard.  They are just rubber but they will be fun to shoot once the weather gets nicer.  Campbell got a leaf blower and weed wacker.  He loves those.  All the kids (Paislee too) got teenage mutant ninja turtles.  Paislee got the purple one:)  They got pj's, clothes, undies, socks, ect.  They really did receive so much this year.  Then we decided that Christmas Day was pj day.  It was great to just lounge around and not have to go anywhere.  Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim came over after lunch to hang out and then we all had dinner together.  ham, cheesy potatoes, veggie, bread, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.  What a great Christmas!!!!  Here are just a few pics.  I took a ton.

  1. We really enjoyed our Christmas Day visit. The boys were so super excited to show us all that Santa had brought. The nerf guns were fun, never knowing just when you were going to be "attacked"! Love, GpaT and GmaK
